this is how you ran away from me:

i had kissed you, softly, your lips like petals
shuddering at my touch, your eyelids fluttering
your feet standing on the ashes from my
cigarette. You

looked away from me, as if
the sky were enchanted as if
the stars could tell you apart
from everyone else, as if
i had never done that in the first place
and touching the scar on my wrist
you closed your eyes, i closed my eyes

And I heard you run off
towards the sky, the stars,
the fearless full moon.

You were always so decisive,
you had never chosen me.
